Panic! Standby mode is illegal- The Wii will launch in the UK sans connect 24, or how so many people can be so wrong.

Some people are sure that what is outlined in “The Energy Challenge” (a document which I believe has been seriously misread by those) basically says that standby mode is illegal and will wreck Nintendo’s plans for connect 24. Not so. On page 44 the following refers to standby:

AdiumX v.1 beta

AdiumX version 1 has hit beta. Personally I use the SVN version although hope that it’s slightly more stable. (Not that it’s unstable but it sometimes glitches on logging in to msn after sleep.) Anyhow, anyone still using 0.8 should look to upgrade- or get ready for when 1.0 is released.

Windows Vista

Vista on the whole is a nice change from XP and seems to have a lot going for it, although it’s insane hard drive useage is quite worrying. In my opinion the changes made are too major to be considered as in any way small and the residue from XP is all to much for
